Meet Cai Wu, Hai’s father and one of many new characters to be introduced in this chapter! Like most of the parents you’ve seen on Blaster Nation, you’ll probably only see him once or twice before we focus on an entirely different character only to spring him right back on you a year or so later! Either way, we’re having a lot of fun working on all these characters and I think you’ll like them too. This is easily the most intricate chapter we’ve worked on yet, and despite the fact that it’s going to be fairly short and simple, we’ve put more work and thought into it than anything else we’ve done so far on this comic. Sure, it gets a bit overwhelming sometimes, but I think the pay off will be totally fucking worth it.
Enough hyping up our own comic, though. Leslie and I just recently beat Skyward Sword, which was pretty okay. Good ending, nice final boss, but overall the game was filled with so much goddamn backtracking and filler. Still a pretty decent game, but goddamn did it seem to drag on. Most importantly though, this was Leslie’s first Zelda game. Can you believe that shit? I couldn’t either. As hardcore as she is, she just never had an N64 or got into any of the games. But it’s okay, she’s completely hooked now. She wants to start playing Ocarina of Time next. Me, I’ve already beaten every Zelda ever, but I never got around to playing the Paper Mario games (sans Super Paper Mario which all the true fans seem to hate even though I really liked it) so I’m going to start on that. And also we’ll both do some comic shit in between all that, so don’t worry.
We’ve still got some fairly big announcements underway, but we’re still waiting on confirmation from some higher powers before we go and tell you, so count on that later. As far as streaming/youtube videos go, I have all of our equipment and shit ready and working, so all we need now is some time to actually sit down and record something! Should have plenty of time for that in the summer.
