I completely intended Dan to parody myself. He wasn't trying to strawman anyone, this is generally just how I act towards games I don't like, just amplified a bit for comedic affect. In no way am I saying that you shouldn't listen to the fans of a game, obey the game industry, ignore claims of corruption in gaming journalism, whatever. I just wanted to hammer down the fact that Dan is pretty snobby when it comes to video games (a trait we introduced fairly early on), and I'm kind of a snobby asshole too. Just further establishing a character trait while making fun of myself in the process. Next time, I'll try to handle such a thing better.

 

Anyways, I'm pretty sure we announced this before, but Leslie and I are now 100% CONFIRMED FOR CONNECTICON. We've got plane tickets and everything! We're getting our own table, we're going to be in all sorts of panels, we're gonna be playing video games, it's going to be AMAZING. Seriously, Connecticon itself is looking to be the biggest goddamn event as far as internet people go. Almost all of Hiveworks is going to be there, along with several other web/comic people. Off the bat, I know Awkward Zombie, Atomic Robo, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Cyanide and Happiness, Team Fourstar, Brentalfloss, Nostalgia Critic, and a whole bunch of others are going to be there. I don't know how I'm going to feel being surrounded by all these INTERNET CELEBRITIES AAAHHHHH. God, it feels so weird being placed with these guys. Most of them, we're personal fans of. Do you think they'll want to hang out with us? Oh god I hope they don't think we're lame or anything. We'll try our best to be just as cool as they are, I promise!
