Looks like Derrick has the same kind of luck with women as our other beta male, Matt. Don't worry, though, this chapter won't revolve entirely around Derrick trying to get a date and one day we'll stop writing stories about someone wanting to hook up with someone else (no we won't).

WHOA WHAT'S THAT IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER, SCROLL BACK UP AND LOOK AT IT! Oh, why it's just our SNAZZY NEW HIVEWORKS LOGO. There were just too many advertisements for our own hubsite here on the Blaster Nation front page, so I bitched and moaned until they took some off and replaced it with that cute little thing we whipped up in five minutes. We're rockin' our Hiveworks pride lately, and if you click on the Hiveworks hub site a few times, you might also spot some familiar characters! Which is a funny story, because until then, Leslie hadn't drawn Dan, Kim, and Rinnie for several months now and completely forgot how to do it. Originally she drew Derrick with boobs, Hai with boobs, and just normal Dan until I brought her some reference art on what our other characters looked like. Leslie tends to surround herself in nothing but sketches for the new chapter and forgets everything else in the world.

But yes, we've got some big exciting news for you guys beyond mild, tiny picture updates! We're going to Sabotencon! Sabotencon is a neat little convention in Arizona somewhere, and it's the first ever convention where Leslie and I have been invited as guests! Also invited was every other Hiveworks member, so they'll be tagging along too I GUESS. Four Tales, Misfile, and Namesake will all be sharing a room and having crazy pillow fights with us, and we'll also be stationed at an neato Hiveworks table and we'll even be at a Hiveworks panel. All of the comic artists get their own panel, and that includes us too! A Blaster Nation panel! What the hell are we going to do? I'm considering just wheeling in a TV and we could play Mario Party or something, I dunno.
