Bluh, two semi-late pages in a month, WE'RE THE WORST

We've actually been bustin' our buns to prepare for the onslaught that will be Mechacon, which is this weekend! We won't be able to update over the weekend, but we'll try to have somethin'! We promised photos for Connecticon but ended up not taking as much, so maybe this time we'll remember we have a camera.

Anyways, VIDEO GAMES. Two awesome games came out yesterday, and I got to play a bit of 'em. First up was Divekick, which is GREAT. Kinda super in-joke to the fighting game community, and the art isn't exactly the best, but for what it is, it's awesome. Honestly, though, I really don't like all the additional characters they added to the mix. I appreciate that they're there the same way Smash Bros. has all sorts of useless extra modes no one plays, but I think they just bog down a simple game with unnecessary complexity. When it's just Dive and Kick, it's perfection, it's everything you need.

Second was Saints Row IV. I've voiced Leslie and I's hatred for The Third and our undying adoration for SR2, so we went into SR4 cautiosly optimistic but dreading the worse. Aaand I love it. I'm still saddened by how far away we've gone from SR2, but you know, jumping around and being gangster hulk is just really awesome. There's still plenty of fanservice for those original playas who've been with the series since the beginning (LIKE ME), and the writing isn't completely fucking awful like the third game. Hell, I've actually had to pause the game to just fucking laugh at shit, instead of just to look away and cringe. There's still a few problems carried over from SR3, but it's seriously just a joy to play around in. I love it. Heartily recommend both games, A+, thumbs up.

Be prepared for a new comic page real soon-like!
