Everybody in Sucre Marron knows Johnny Panom, c'mon Derrick.
Man, this has been a real shitty day for webcomics. If you've been following the Campbell kickstarter shenanigans, then I'm sure you've gotten an earful of what every webcomic artist around feels about it. If you haven't heard yet, go google it. It's pretty difficult to explain shortform.
But yeah, this whole thing has just really bummed me out. I've never been a fan of PFSC, but to see a highly-respected webcomic guy just turn around and shit on everyone who supported him is just awful. I know there's a whole bunch of angles to this, I know he's going through a lot lately, but the point stands that his actions were reprehensible. It feels like a blow to the webcomic community in general, seeing all these people get screwed out of money while the creator gives them a big, rambling "fuck you, pay me" speech. We've been working on setting up a kickstarter ourselves in the future for a Blaster Nation book, but seeing shit like this just worries me. Not that we would ever screw you guys or anything, but that people will look towards this as an example to not trust webcomic creators. A lot of people have gotten burned from this, and it really fucking sucks.
Seriously, any of you backers out there have my condolences. I can't fathom being on the receiving end of such shittiness.
See you guys on Sunday
