Leslie was so excited to finally get a chance to draw Metal Gear KIM in this page.
Not much has been going on! I honestly haven't been working as hard on the RPG as I should have. A guy on our facebook group sent me a tutorial on how to do properly make a working door, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how the hell to do it. Even after all the steps are done, the door just sits there like an impenetrable wall, unmoving and uncaring, ignoring all of the event switches I've turned on for it. I hate you, door. I hate you so goddamn much.
So instead of doing actual work, I've been playing a lot of Smash! The demo at least. I've been playing the demo relentlessly. Now, you might be wondering how far my Smash addiction goes. I have accumulated 9101 coins so far. In the Smash demo, you earn roughly 40 coins every match. That equals up to about 228 matches...with just five characters and 2 stages. And I'm still not sick of it. Oh no. I'm still learning. I'm still figuring out strategies for each character. I'm so ready to return back to tournaments, I can taste it.
I ended up switching my main form Megaman to Mario. Unforunately, as much as I liked how Megaman played, he's just not suited for 2 minute long matches. Megaman is a character that you need to have patience with, as his key strength revolves around slowly whittling away at enemies with his various projectiles. Mario, however...I cannot believe how satisfying Mario is to use in this game. He's a beast. A monster. He's not that friendly Italian plumber who rescues Princesses for pecks on the cheek. Not anymore. Now he's a murderer. He has so many tools of destruction at his disposal. FLUDD is now incredibly useful for edge-guarding. His attacks move fast enough to combo ridiculously well. And his air spike? So good that it might honestly be a bit overpowered. Once you master short-hopping (something kinda tricky to do with 3DS controls), it's all a matter of simply chucking a low-percent opponent just far enough out of the ring for you to hop on over and spike. It's so effective, I've managed to score four, five kills against lvl. 9 CPUs in the 2 minute time limit. Bottom line: don't let Mario get you near the edge. He's a scary man.
That's all for today, though. SEE YOU ON FRIDAY
