Sorry about the delay guys! Leslie’s been out for the majority of today doing things with her family, while I’ve been loafing around in my underwear playing Yakuza 4. Hey, my job was done! Nothing I could’ve done to make the comic get finished any faster!

Soooo, I discovered this week that I’m a terrible liar when it comes to lying to Leslie. Like, terribad. If it was any of you assholes, I could lie about ANYTHING and probably get away with it. That whole first paragraph? Could be a complete fabrication. Every comment could have been a work of fiction. Hell, I’ve managed to keep you guys believing there even is a person named Leslie working on the comic! Truthfully, I’ve always been pretty proud of my ability to lie.

But then I had to try to lie to hide Leslie’s Christmas present.

I thought I could hide it. Just needed to make a cover story so Leslie doesn’t suspect that I was going to go and buy her Christmas present right then and there. It went a little something like this:

Brad: Hey babe, I gotta work through my lunch shift. Figured we could use the extra money, since we’re pretty tight right now.

Leslie: Aww, but honey, my dear beloved most cherished and awesome person in the world, I was planning on making you a lunch and everything!

Brad: Aw, no, it’s cool, I bought some lunch here. Figured it would be easier to just eat something here at work to earn that extra hour.

Leslie: Oh, well, in that case, I’m pulling up your current bank statement right now and I just saw that you totally spent just about the same amount of money on lunch as you would have earned.

Brad: …

Leslie: You’re going Christmas shopping, aren’t you.

And that’s the story. So, what did I buy her? A BRAND NEW DESK. A really awesome one with a glass top and shelves and things. That, combined with the new laptop handed down from my friend and the new tablet Leslie got from her parents has turned her old pathetic art station from THIS…

…into THIS!

Yeah, we don’t really have a good camera. Or lighting. Sorry it’s kind of blurry. BUT IT’S MUCH COOLER, WE CAN ASSURE YOU.
