Sorry about this comic updating slightly later than usual, guys. We’ve been busy as always! Leslie’s switched to traditional pencil and inking once again (with me helping on digital colors). Can you tell the difference? It takes about the same amount of time as doing it all digitally, but it’s more fun for Leslie. At least it’s more fun right now before it gets absolutely boring again and she switches to digital which will then also get boring after a month or two and then the cycle will repeat. Such is the way of the artist! What I do like about traditional pen and paper drawing is that we get to keep a physical copy of our page, so it’s cool for showing off.
Not much going on right now. Leslie and I played Journey, which was amazing and you should get that as soon as possible. Such a great little game. A little more linear than I would have liked, but it was still fantastic and probably had the best implementation of online co-op I’ve ever seen. Never in my life have I cared for an anonymous, speechless online stranger than I have with this game. Seriously, it’s beautiful.
Still kind of hesitant on Mass Effect 3, though. Might end up borrowing it from a friend so that we don’t have to give money to the EA machine. Row row, fight the power. Leslie and I finished watching the entire Twin Peaks series, which was a fantastic show with a terrible, terrible ending. The recent announcement of a Deadly Premonition PS3 re-release with extra content makes me terribly excited. For those who haven’t played Deadly Premonition, this video is all you need to know. Seriously, it’s easily one of the best stories this gaming generation and you’re missing out if you don’t play it from start to finish. Even our own character Dan is a fan! (also, the director of the game was my first ever twitter follower, that is SO COOL.)
That’s enough video game talk for this week, though. Maybe next update we’ll talk something different. Like…anime? Anything but our actual comic!
See you Wednesday!
