For the first time in awhile, Leslie and I are doing really well for ourselves. Financially, we've been suffering for forever, but we're now at a point where we can actually treat ourselves and it feels so fucking weird. Leslie's able to buy comics, I was able to buy a game, and hell, we were even able to go out to a nice restaurant all by ourselves, something we haven't been able to do in the last year or so. I've had to work a LOT of overtime (12 straight days in a row), and Leslie's had to do a lot of comicking, but we're at a great point right now and fuck I'm just so happy. 

 

So, I been playing Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed on PC and boy it's fucking great. But it's also extremely difficult. Like, insanely difficult. The requirements to unlock some of these characters are maddening, even for Brad "Speedruns-Dark-Souls-When-Bored/Hates-DmC-Because-It's-Not-Hard-Enough" Brown. I think that racing games in general are probably the most infuriating genre in games. There's nothing else quite like it that can cause even the nicest person to snap their controller in half and headbutt the wall because you were doing so great on this course on S-rank but you accidentally fucked up that 90 degree turn at the end of the course that some dickhead developer is fucking laughing about right now and you slam into a wall and you go from 1st place to 40th and oh my god FUCK YOU CHILLY CASTLE, NOBODY EVEN FUCKING LIKED BILLY HATCHER

 

I've also been playing a ton of Dead or Alive 5 and I really love it. I never got why DoA has never been considered a true fighter. As far as 3D fighters go, I'd definitely hold it as one of the best. The newest is especially solid and I love the inclusion of the Power Blow. I really hate the DLC scheme they have set up (over $50 in costumes, many of which are recolors or just character-swapped), but mechanically, it feels damn good. Mila is mai waifu. Leslie's waifu, too, I GUESS.
