Welp, finally back from Connecticon. Sorry you guys had to miss a few updates while we were gone, but it looks like you all kept yourself plenty entertained in our absence, judging from the 68 comment shitfest that went on last page.
So yeah, Connecticon was AMAZING. We met waaay more fans than we ever anticipated. We sold prints and signed autographs and Leslie did a TON of commissions. We didn't really get much time to take pictures or walk around since we were glued to the table as long as the floor was open, but we occasionally got to hang out with some great artists and some truly awesome fans and we even got to see Pacific Rim with some of my favorite Hiveworks people. All in all it was a fantastic convention and I can't wait to do it again next year.
If we do get invited next year, we're really gonna need to bust our ass and make some more stuff to put on our table. This year, we only sold prints and commissions, which both did really well. However, commissions take a ridiculously long time to do on the spot (and are pretty difficult when you don't have a smartphone to look up reference art). And because they take so much time and concentration, Leslie's spending most of the con staring directly at the table. I really don't want her to have to do that again next year, so until then, we're gonna try to make some cool stuff for you guys. We came out of this convention with a ton of ideas for neat Blaster Nation/Rock Cocks merchandise/side-stuff that I think you guys'll like, and I can't wait until we get some time to actually make them.
Thanks to everyone who showed up and made this the best convention we've ever been to! But back to work we go. See you on Friday!
