Thank you guys for all the kind words last update~! This is just one of those plot-progressing pages. Sorry if it's not the most interesting. Leslie drew it really cute though!
So, I know I just spent a whole blog post a couple days ago advertising the Mighty No. 9 kickstarter, but hopefully you still have some love to give, because another great kickstarter needs your help!
There's no denying that Leslie and I are huge Wayforward fans. Everything that company does is magic to us. They're staffed with wonderful animators. Every game they make (even their licensed ones) has tight controls and great design. And Jake Kaufman's soundtracks? Beautiful. We love their original franchises, and Shantae holds a special place in our heart. Seriously, I followed the franchise for years, waiting anxiously for a sequel, only to hear about numerous cancellations. We finally got the short but sweet Risky's Revenge on DSi a few years ago, and soon we'll get The Pirate's Curse on 3DS. But THIS game. THIS is the full-fledged Shantae sequel I've been waiting for.
I know I must sound like I'm marketting way too hard for this game, but really, Wayforward is filled with some amazing people and I want good things to happen for them. I want to see them succeed just as much as Mighty No. 9. If you can spare a few dollars, toss them over at Shantae. She deserves them. And hey, go play the other Shantae games too. Hell, play ANYTHING Wayforward's made. They don't get the attention or budgets other big-name companies get, but dammit, they deliver amazing stuff every single time. Let's help 'em make the big game they've been wanting to make!
Here's some adorable fanart Leslie drew of Shantae's adorable little redesign. Seriously, she's so cute and tiny oh my god
Alright, that's the last Kickstarter we advertise for awhile.
SEE YOU ON SUNDAY.
